Morgan Lewis Hosts 9th Annual New York Hedge Funds Conference

NEW YORK, June 2, 2016: Morgan Lewis will examine advanced hedge fund issues confronting global investors and fund managers during its annual Hedge Funds Conference in New York on Thursday, June 9. 

This year’s program will focus on current US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement themes, recent regulatory changes, trading practices and investment positions, derivatives, institutional investor terms, alternative fund products and structures, co-investment and seeding arrangements, new offshore fund issues and legislation, Cayman Island LLCs, broker-dealer issues, distressed hedge fund situations and the ethical issues fund managers and investors face around the world.

Morgan Lewis Partners Jedd Wider and Tim Levin will chair the day-long event, which will feature a lunchtime discussion with Peter Koffler, Senior Managing Director, Blackstone and General Counsel, Hedge Fund Solutions Group.

A similar half-day conference will also be held in the firm’s Boston office on Tuesday, June 14 for the second consecutive year. The Boston event will spotlight SEC regulatory and enforcement activities as well as provide updates on international regulatory and ERISA issues. Emerging hedge fund trends, derivatives, employment matters, and institutional investor terms will also be examined by the speakers. Partners Steve Giordano, Rich Goldman, and Steve Tirrell, will chair the afternoon session.
