NEW YORK, November 29, 2017: Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Ellevate Network, a global professional community focused on advancing women in the workplace and helping companies succeed in supporting the development of female leaders. Under the year-long agreement, Morgan Lewis’s female lawyers will have access to Ellevate’s community of 90,000 women and resources, including member-submitted articles, twice-weekly webinars, and networking opportunities through events and an online community.
“Fostering a culture of growth for our women lawyers is a priority at Morgan Lewis, so teaming up with Ellevate was an easy choice,” said Jami Wintz McKeon, Chair of Morgan Lewis. “Ellevate’s broad-based program complements our existing ML Women initiative, which provides business development and client interaction opportunities to our women lawyers at all stages of their careers.”
The ML Women initiative is a key pillar in Morgan Lewis’s commitment to promote diversity and inclusion and harnesses the strength of the firm’s women lawyers through partnership with its clients. Whether through hosting a specialized roundtable for women featuring speakers from Morgan Lewis, clients, and external experts, or leveraging the firm’s vast network of successful women alumnae to discuss topics specific to women, leadership, and the power of women consumers, the initiative aims to support and expand the firm’s network of women leaders in business and industry.
“We are very pleased to have Morgan Lewis join our mission to close the gender achievement gap in business,” said Kristy Wallace, CEO of Ellevate Network. “Ellevate Network recognizes the firm’s dedication to cultivating a culture of opportunity for women, not just through leadership opportunities throughout the firm but also through client collaborations.”
