MIAMI, January 11, 2017: Morgan Lewis of counsel Joshua Prever was honored by the Dade County Bar Association with the distinguished Pro Bono Commitment Award. The award honors lawyers who have made a lasting difference in the lives of their pro bono clients and who have given their personal time and resources to better the lives of South Florida’s most vulnerable residents.
As chair of Morgan Lewis’s Miami pro bono committee, Mr. Prever maintains an active pro bono practice. He is the chair of Dade County Bar Association’s Legal Line clinic, a monthly phone clinic in which lawyers provide counsel on a broad range of topics affecting low-income members of the Miami Dade community. In addition, Mr. Prever serves as a guardian ad litem for children and has organized pro bono workshops for Holocaust survivors applying for restitution benefits through the German Ghetto Work Payment Program.
Mr. Prever accepted the award during the Dade County Bar Association’s Over the Rainbow Judicial Reception and Awards Dinner on December 7.
