Morgan Lewis Partner Kenneth Polite Appointed to ABA’s Federal Judiciary Committee

PHILADELPHIA, July 8, 2019: Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Kenneth Polite, Jr. as the Third Circuit representative on the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary.

Kenneth, a former US Attorney, former chief compliance officer, and an accomplished trial and appellate litigator, has broad experience representing clients in a variety of criminal, civil, and compliance matters. He counsels executives and corporate management on complex and sensitive issues, and handles internal and government investigations, white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, and corporate compliance and governance, particularly in the financial services, higher education, and healthcare industries.

A former law clerk at the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Kenneth is a Smart on Crime advocate and frequent speaker on criminal justice reform. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his A.B from Harvard University.

Kenneth’s three-year term as a member of the committee begins August 13, 2019. The 15-member Standing Committee provides the Senate Judiciary Committee, the executive branch, and the public with independent, nonpartisan peer evaluation of the professional qualifications of every judicial nominee to the Article III and Article IV federal courts.
