CHICAGO, September 29, 2016: Morgan Lewis litigation partner Tinos Diamantatos has been named the next president of the prestigious Chicago Inn of Court.
A seasoned trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, Mr. Diamantatos represents organizations and individuals in litigation, government and internal investigations, and securities enforcement proceedings. This includes white collar crime, litigation related to government investigations, qui tam litigation, and complex civil litigation. He also advises on compliance issues. Earlier this year, he received the recommendation of prominent legal directory publisher The Legal 500, as a result of praise for his work from corporate counsel and clients. Before joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Diamantatos served with distinction as a federal prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.
“Selecting Tinos as president-elect was one of the easiest decisions ever made by the past presidents,” said Lawrence Oliver, chief counsel, investigations, at The Boeing Company and immediate past president of the Chicago Inn of Court. "He embodies what the Chicago Inn of Court is all about, demonstrates excellence in his law practice, and is beloved by all who know him."
Chartered in 1988, the Chicago Inn of Court is one of most active of the American Inns of Court’s more than 350 chapters, all of which promote professionalism, excellence, ethics, and civility within the legal profession. The membership of the Chicago chapter includes some of the city’s leading judges and trial lawyers.
Mr. Diamantatos was invited to join the Chicago Inn of Court as a law student member in 2002. After law school graduation, he was invited to join as a member. He will serve as the organization’s 29th president for the 2017 to 2018 term. Morgan Lewis has a long history of service to the bar. Mr. Diamantatos joins litigation partner Elizabeth Herrington in this service. Ms. Herrington, who is also resident in the firm’s Chicago office, serves as president-elect of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
