BOSTON, July 6, 2018: Morgan Lewis partner Lisa Barton has been named to The Business Journals’ list of 100 executives making an impact on business and legal matters in the communities in which they live and practice across the United States.
The “Influencers: Law” feature, published in the Boston Business Journal today, recognizes Ms. Barton’s contributions as office managing partner of one of the city’s largest law firms, a role she assumed last year. The exclusive national list singles out only one other member of Boston’s business and legal communities.
Ms. Barton advises clients in designing, drafting, and operating tax-qualified retirement and health and welfare plans, as well as nonqualified deferred compensation and equity compensation plans. She counsels companies on complying with the US Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, the Affordable Care Act, and other state and federal laws pertaining to benefit plans and programs. Her clients come from such industries as retail, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, and information technology.
