Morgan Lewis Partner to Receive Pittsburgh Business Times BusinessWomen First Award

PITTSBURGH, January 28, 2016: Morgan Lewis partner Marlee Myers is among 25 women executives to be honored this year by the Pittsburgh Business Times with a BusinessWomen First Award. Honorees are chosen based on their proven business track records as well as their community and civic activities demonstrating leadership in the Western Pennsylvania region. The awards will be presented March 2 in Pittsburgh.

In addition to noting her outstanding legal career and role as founding partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office, the award cites Ms. Myers’ community and civic leadership. Ms. Myers was the founding Board Chair of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, and serves on the University of Pittsburgh's Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States. She has devoted countless hours to community service and serves as the Pro Bono partner in the Pittsburgh office.

Ms. Myers has represented many of the region’s most entrepreneurial companies. In addition to her work with emerging growth companies, she represents publicly traded global companies and major family offices on a wide variety of strategic transactions. Her work includes mergers and acquisitions, initial and follow-on public offerings, venture capital and debt financings, strategic alliances, and corporate governance.
