NEW YORK, June 28, 2017: Morgan Lewis partners Christopher Parlo and Ira Rosenstein have been elected fellows of the prestigious College of Labor & Employment Lawyers. Mr. Parlo and Mr. Rosenstein will be welcomed into the college at its 22nd annual induction dinner on November 11 in Washington, DC.
Mr. Parlo and Mr. Rosenstein join 20 Morgan Lewis colleagues who are current fellows. Membership in the College is by invitation only, honoring lawyers who have made a sustained contribution to the field of employment law and meet the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and character.
Mr. Parlo is the co-leader of Morgan Lewis’s wage and hour litigation and counseling practice and its independent contractor team and is a co-leader of the firm’s insurance industry group. He represents and counsels management clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, with a focus on the defense of US federal and state wage and hour class and collective actions. Mr. Parlo also defends employers in individual and complex employee litigation, employee benefits litigation, protection of trade secrets, and unfair competition matters.
Mr. Rosenstein is co-chair of Morgan Lewis’s individual employment litigation and arbitration sub-practice group. He is a recognized leader in the field of employment arbitration, regularly representing clients before arbitrators at FINRA, AAA, JAMS. He is also an active member of the firm’s air carrier practice, having represented carriers on a variety of complex wage, employment discrimination and preemption issues for many years. His clients span across industries including financial services, airlines and transportation, entertainment, new media and publishing, energy, manufacturing/retail and education.
