PHILADELPHIA and SAN FRANCISCO, November 23, 2016: Morgan Lewis labor and employment partners Sarah Bouchard and James Vázquez-Azpiri have earned MVP distinctions from Law360 in the Employment and Immigration categories, respectively, of the publication’s annual series.

Law360 received more than 1,000 nominations for the 2016 awards, which recognize lawyers who secured extraordinary wins on behalf of clients and contributed significantly to their individual practice areas in the past year.

Ms. Bouchard litigates complex employment, whistleblower, noncompetition, and trade secret matters across the United States for clients in many sectors, including financial services, technology, healthcare, and retail. As co-leader of the firm’s whistleblower group, she handles sensitive litigation and litigation avoidance related to regulatory issues arising under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Dodd-Frank Act, False Claims Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She also assists clients with issues involving wrongful discharge, employment contracts, sexual harassment, discrimination, severance agreements, and reductions in force (RIFs).

Mr. Vázquez-Azpiri counsels corporate clients on hiring and retaining foreign employees in his business immigration law practice. He advises businesses on labor certifications, specialty occupation petitions, and intracompany transfers. Clients rely on him for guidance through immigration law compliance during mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Mr. Vázquez-Azpiri helps clients think and work proactively by providing them with traditional compliance policy reviews and audits, case management and litigation technology, and international executive travel and foreign resident worker visa processing.

Both partners will be profiled by Law360 in the coming weeks.
