MIAMI, January 13, 2017: Morgan Lewis’s Miami office was recognized by Lawyers for Children America (LFCA) with the distinguished John Edward Smith Outstanding Law Firm Award. The award honors the firm for providing exceptional pro bono service and high-quality legal assistance to children who otherwise would not have a voice in court.
Lawyers in the firm’s Miami office work closely with LFCA, a leading national child advocacy organization that protects the rights of children who are victims of abuse, abandonment and neglect. Several Morgan Lewis lawyers have taken on Court appointed matters advocating for children taken from their homes and placed in foster care or group homes.
LFCA presented the award to the firm during its 17th Annual John Edward Smith Child Advocacy Awards Luncheon on December 15.
