NEW YORK, June 21, 2018: Morgan Lewis represented BOX Digital Markets in the intellectual property license and services agreement that is a key component of the recently announced joint venture between tZERO and BOX Digital. The joint venture was formed to develop, launch, and operate what it expects to be the world’s first regulated exchange for trading security tokens. Security tokens are electronic tokens defined as “securities” under US law. The joint venture will seek approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission prior to beginning operations.
