SINGAPORE, October 25, 2016: Morgan Lewis Stamford partner Adrian Tan has been re-elected to the Council of the Law Society of Singapore, the representative body for all lawyers in the country.
This is the third consecutive time that Mr. Tan, who secured one of four spots in the senior category of the Council, has been elected by the Society's members to serve in a leadership role within the Society. As part of his duties on the Council, he holds the office of Treasurer of the Law Society.
Mr. Tan represents clients in litigation involving a variety of matters related to intellectual property, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, class action, defamation, information technology, and collective sales of real estate. As a former general counsel of a Singapore government-linked company (GLC), Mr. Tan counsels extensively on IT disputes. A prolific writer on legal matters, he also is the author of bestselling novels.
Established in 1967, the Law Society of Singapore’s membership includes advocates and solicitors with practicing certificates, non-practitioner members and honorary members.
