SINGAPORE, September 23, 2015: Euromoney Legal Media Group has announced the shortlist for its 2015 Asia Women in Business Law Awards, naming three Morgan Lewis Stamford partners as contenders for individual practice area awards. Singapore office Managing Partner Suet-Fern Lee and Litigation Partner Wendy Tan were selected as nominees in the “Best in M&A and Private Equity” and “Best in Shipping” categories, respectively. In addition, Corporate Partner Elizabeth Kong was named a rising star nominee in the “Rising Star: Corporate” category.
This is the third consecutive year that Ms. Lee and Ms. Tan are shortlisted for Asia Women in Business Law Awards in their respective categories. Both Ms. Lee and Ms. Tan are also recognized as leading practitioners in their fields in the 2015 Chambers Global and Asia-Pacific guides. Earlier this year, Ms. Lee was also recognized as a finalist for the prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyer of the Year Award (Asia-Pacific). For Ms. Kong, this is one of several awards recognizing her as a rising star for corporate law matters. In 2014, Singapore Business Review named her one of the most influential lawyers (aged 40 and under) and Prestige Singapore magazine included her on its similar list of 40 under 40.
Winners of the 2015 Asia Women in Business Law Awards will be announced and recognized at a special awards ceremony on November 11, 2015 in Hong Kong.
