PHILADELPHIA, October 31, 2017: Morgan Lewis is pleased to host the 24th Annual Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) Capital Conference on November 1-2, with partners Andrew Hamilton and Jeffrey Bodle as conference co-chairs.
The two-day gathering will bring together key players in the Mid-Atlantic region’s private equity, venture capital, and entrepreneurial communities for interactive panel sessions and dynamic keynote addresses, including by Anita Elberse, the Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. On the second day of the program, Jeffrey Moorad, Chairman of Morgan Lewis’s global sports industry initiative and Chairman and CEO of Moorad Sports Partners, will be interviewed on his storied career in sports and many of the issues that are top of mind for today’s sports investors, as well as athletes, agents, coaches, and fans.
Representatives from participating early-stage companies in the technology and healthcare spaces will receive live feedback from investors during PACT, as well as an opportunity to present before a Lion’s Den of the same, looking to identify lucrative investment opportunities.
Mr. Hamilton concentrates primarily in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity and venture capital, securities law, and general corporate counseling. He works with public and private companies in industries as diverse as energy and clean technology, computer software, information technology, business services, and medical devices.
Mr. Bodle counsels emerging businesses and other innovative high-growth companies at every stage of their business lifecycle—including in M&A, angel and venture capital financings, IPOs, securities offerings and compliance, corporate partnering, joint ventures, formation advice, and other strategic and outside general counsel matters. He focuses primarily in the technology, healthcare, life sciences, venture capital, and private equity fields.
As Chairman of Morgan Lewis’s global sports industry initiative and Chairman and CEO of Moorad Sports, Mr. Moorad’s business background, knowledge, and familiarity with the sports industry provide clients with unique business insight across all aspects of sports-related interests and opportunities.
This is the second time the firm has hosted PACT, which will be held this year at the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia Hotel.
