New Final Rule Lets Employees Use HRAs to Buy Health Insurance, SHRM

Morgan Lewis partner Andy Anderson spoke with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) about a new regulation that will allow employers to reimburse employees for qualified medical expenses if they offer traditional health plans with an additional pretax of $1,800 per a year. "The limited-scope HRA can reimburse a smaller subset of expenses, but has no annual dollar cap on employer contributions," Andy noted.
