PHILADELPHIA, March 3, 2014: Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce that the firm ranked eighth on the 2014 Acritas U.S. Law Firm Brand Index, placing in the top ten for the third straight year since the annual rankings began in 2012. Morgan Lewis rose one place in the rankings from a ninth place ranking in 2013.
Acritas, global provider of legal market research, conducted interviews with 581 senior in-house counsel at U.S.-based companies with more than $50 million in revenue to determine the rankings. Participating counsel were asked to name the first firms that came to mind, firms they think of most favorably and consider most often for major litigation and transactional matters as well as firms they turn to with high-value work. Acritas also surveyed more than 120 international lawyers regarding which firm they use most often in the U.S. In reporting its findings, Acritas noted both size and global reach as significant factors in raising the profile of a law firm brand.
