NEW YORK, May 25, 2012: AarhusKarlshamn (AAK)—one of the world's leading producers of high value-added specialty vegetable oils and fats—announced that it will strengthen its position in the North American Food Service market by acquiring Oasis Foods Company.
Oasis, founded in 1975 and employing approximately 160 people in Hillside, N.J., provides an expansive variety of quality products such as edible oils, margarine, spreads, shortenings, vinegars, mayonnaise and sauces. Oasis had revenues of approximately SEK 925 million in 2011.
Morgan Lewis served as legal advisor to AAK on the transaction. The Morgan Lewis team was led by Business and Finance partner Rob Dickey, who was assisted by Business and Finance associates Andrew Mariniello and Monica Shaw.
