PHILADELPHIA, March 25, 2014: Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce that it is ranked number two out of 650 firms serving large clients on BTI Consulting Group’s Client Relationship Scorecard. The ranking places the firm on the BTI Power Elite, comprising the top 23 firms with the largest number of strong client relationships.

In addition to its firmwide ranking, Morgan Lewis scored highly in a number of individual practice areas, including those serving clients in banking, chemicals, consumer goods, energy, healthcare, high tech, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, professional services, retail, transportation, utilities, and wholesale.

“We are proud to be recognized by BTI for the strength of our client relationships. This is a remarkable achievement that reflects the hard work of many talented people at our firm,” said Firm Chair Francis M. Milone.

BTI’s Client Relationship Scorecard rankings are based on more than 500 in-depth interviews with corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and other large organizations.

“Morgan Lewis experienced a dramatic improvement in the quality and number of client relationships. The firm ranked number two in 2014, up from number 22 in 2009. This strong showing is the result of the firm’s deep and disciplined approach to its investment in clients, a key factor in being able to meet corporate counsels’ ever increasing demands,” said Michael B. Rynowecer, BTI President, who directs the survey.

Last year, BTI announced that Morgan Lewis had placed fourth among 336 law firms named to its BTI Client Service A-Team 2014. Morgan Lewis’s 2014 ranking represents the firm’s 13th consecutive year on the BTI Client Service 30 list. Earlier this year, Morgan Lewis became the first law firm in the 13-year history of BTI’s Client Service All-Stars list to place 10 attorneys on this roster in a single year.
