Morgan Lewis Continues To Place in Top Ranks on M&A League Tables in Q1

NEW YORK, May 8, 2014: Morgan Lewis ranked in the top 10 in multiple merger and acquisition categories in the first quarter of 2014, according to a number of industry league tables. Bloomberg, Mergermarket, Thomson Reuters, and Thomson Reuters’ Buyouts included the firm in several of its top 10 lists for both the value and quantity of deals closed in the first quarter. Some of the firm’s notable rankings on these tables include:

  • Ranked sixth, U.S. announced adviser rankings based on number of transactions with undisclosed and disclosed values up to and including $500 million (excluding equity carveouts, withdrawn deals, and open market repurchases) with 20 deals, Buyouts
  • Ranked seventh, U.S. announced adviser rankings based on number of transactions with undisclosed and disclosed values up to and including $2 billion (excluding equity carveouts, withdrawn deals, and open market repurchases) with 22 deals, Buyouts
  • Ranked seventh, U.S. announced legal adviser rankings based on value for retail (excluding equity carveouts, withdrawn deals, and open market repurchases) of approximately $4.466 billion, Buyouts
  • Ranked seventh, U.S. announced deals up to $250 million based on deal count with 23 deals, Bloomberg
  • Ranked seventh, legal advisers to Japan M&A based on deal value of $1.344 billion, Mergermarket
