HOUSTON, August 5, 2013: Morgan Lewis represented Signal Group in the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Northwest Signal Supply, Inc., a regional manufacturer and distributor of adaptive traffic software, controllers, traffic cabinets, poles and sign structures in the North Western United States. The transaction is part of Signal Group's plans to expand its presence in North America, particularly in the areas of advanced traffic management and manufactured infrastructure.
Signal Group is one of the largest intelligent traffic solutions manufacturers in the Americas, with operating companies providing industry leading technologies in intelligent transportation systems, traffic signaling, traffic control and management, data collection and classification, access control and traffic detection. Signal Group's line of advanced traffic controllers are used in some of the largest cities in North America, including New York, Chicago, Toronto and Montreal.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal closed on August 1, 2013. The Morgan Lewis team was led by Business and Finance partner Rodrigo Dominguez Sotomayor, and included Business and Finance partner Carlos Treistman, associate Emilio Grandío-Urrea and international consultant Ivan Sabbagh Lopez.
