Morgan Lewis has been named among the top 10 "Best Law Firms for Women" and top 10 "Ceiling Smashers" as part of Law360's annual Glass Ceiling Report, making the publication's lists of the top firms with 600-plus lawyers that are ahead of the pack in gender parity.
The publication surveyed more than 300 US firms, or vereins with a US component, about their overall and female lawyer headcounts as of December 31. Rankings for the "Best Law Firms for Women" are based on the firms' percentages of women partners and nonpartners; rankings for the "Ceiling Smashers" are based on the percentages of women equity partners. "At the firms on [the "Ceiling Smashers"] list, women make up over one in four equity partners and over 40 percent of the entire lawyer workforce—compared with just over 35 percent of attorneys across all firms surveyed," the publication noted.
