Connected cars were a topic of active discussion in Washington DC at the end of June 2017. Congress held hearings on a range of proposed legislation designed to address the development and regulation of connected cars. Two regulatory agencies with oversight on connected and autonomous vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), held a workshop on the topic of connected cars.
