Morgan Lewis partner August Heckman III and associate Rudolph J. Burshnic II authored an article for the New Jersey Labor and Employment Law Quarterly (November 2018) titled, “Trevejo v. Legal Cost Control:Telecommuting in the Gig Economy – When Does the NJ Law Against Discrimination Protect Out-of-State Employees?” The article discusses if the protections of New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination apply to employees that work outside the state following a recent decision from the Appellate Division that provides new insight in the context of a telecommuting employee.
