Best Practices for Preventing Workplace Harassment

Former EEOC commissioner Chai Feldblum and her former chief of staff Sharon Masling discuss best practices for employers to prevent harassment in the workplace. Drawing on their experience leading the EEOC’s Select Task Force on the Study of Harassment in the Workplace, as well as counseling employers in the wake of the #MeToo movement, Chai and Sharon consider the business case for stopping harassment; illuminate the characteristics of a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace; and detail practical steps that employers can take to create such workplaces.
