August 29, 2012
This webinar discussed which of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) provisions have the most significant impact in the fraud and abuse enforcement and compliance areas. The discussion covered increased funding and expansion of federal and state enforcement efforts, amendments to the False Claims Act, ramifications of the "lowered intent" standard applicable for criminal liability under the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and the establishment of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Self-Referral Disclosure Protocol (SRDP) to facilitate self-reporting of federal Stark Law violations.
