Emily Kimmelman’s practice focuses on complex commercial and securities litigation, including business and shareholder disputes, class actions alleging violations of the federal securities laws and derivative claims. She also represents clients in investigations by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Emily has trial experience in a Delaware Chancery Court appraisal trial, where she conducted the direct examination of an expert witness, helped prepare multiple fact and expert witnesses for trial and deposition testimony, took the deposition of an expert witness, and drafted trial briefing.
In addition, Emily has worked on multiple motions to dismiss federal securities claims, and other dispositive motions, drafted complaints and answers, and managed and conducted document discovery.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Emily was an associate at another global law firm, and served as a law clerk to Judge Joel H. Slomsky of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
