Karon N. Fowler litigates intellectual property disputes involving patents, design patents, unfair competition, licensing issues, and trade secrets. Representing clients in US district courts, the US International Trade Commission, and the US Court of International Trade, Karon has experience managing or contributing to all stages of a case’s lifecycle, including pleadings, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, claim construction, and trial. She also represents clients in appellate proceedings and contributes to AIA post-grant proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Karon has experience with various technologies, including computer networking, semiconductor manufacturing, access control systems, wireless local area networks, computer hardware and software, virtual reality equipment and applications, personal protection equipment, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Karon served as law clerk for Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the US District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She also worked for a non-profit health care system with one of the largest integrated delivery systems in the nation, including an academic medical center.

In law school, Karon served as a judicial intern for Judge Patricia Campbell-Smith of the US Court of Federal Claims, board member of the Wake Forest’s Law Review, and member of the Appellate Advocacy Clinic where she argued before the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Karon graduated with honors as a member of the Order of Barristers and Order of the Coif. She also received awards in law school for her legal writing and oral advocacy achievements in numerous moot court competitions, appellate writing, contracts, administrative law, patents, trademarks, and IP research.
