Larry Silverstein focuses on tax, corporate, and real estate planning and has been involved in partnership and real estate transactions as well as corporate acquisitions and sales. His practice focuses on counseling entrepreneurs in a wide range of businesses. His clients cover a range from real estate companies and funds to biotechnology and social media companies as well as various basic industries groups. He has also been involved in a number of venture capital transactions.
After graduating Harvard Law School (magna cum laude), Larry clerked for Judge Herbert P. Wilkins on the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. In the mid-1980s he left law and became president of Cohen Properties Inc., a 130-employee, diversified real estate management and development company that developed and acquired multifamily residential properties and office buildings in Boston, Washington, DC, and Hartford during his two years as president.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Larry was a partner in the tax practice of another international law firm.
