Rebecca E. McDougall focuses her practice on intellectual property (IP) matters. Rebecca manages large global trademark portfolios, assisting with global brand selection, registration, and enforcement in federal courts and the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. In addition, she assists clients in a broad array of related matters, including negotiating licensing and distribution agreements, advising on proper labeling, assisting with advertising substantiation, and contract review related to consumer promotions. 

Familiar with the ever-evolving landscape of the digital marketplace, Rebecca also handles matters involving cybersquatting, domain name disputes, and protection of copyright and trademark rights on the internet and in social media.

Rebecca is very active within the global trademark community, currently serving as the Special Projects Officer of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Committee for the International Bar Association (IBA) and as a contributing officer in the annual meetings, acting as speaker and moderator on a number of IP topics. She has also served as a committee member with the International Trademark Association (INTA) for more than ten years. Rebecca is currently a member of the Indigenous Rights Committee. Her involvement in the international trademark community has led to her recognition for the past seven years as one of the leading trademark attorneys for prosecution and strategy according to WTR 1000.
