Ted Cook advises clients on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and internal investigations across a range of industries including financial services, aviation, sports, and life sciences. He has experience in matters before the English courts (the High Court’s Chancery and Commercial Courts), in arbitration disputes under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre, and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
In addition to contentious work, Ted maintains an advisory practice counseling clients on regulatory compliance, including regulatory enforcement and issues relating to international trade, in particular work regarding international sanctions and export controls in the energy and technology sectors.
Ted’s pro bono work involves regularly working with a notable legal nonprofit based in London that helps secure equal access to justice for those facing the death penalty in the United States.
Ted’s recent experience includes advising institutional shareholders in UK-listed companies in complex securities litigation. He is involved with a number of market-leading claims under Section 90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, including cases in which the English courts have considered novel questions of law relating to that provision.
