Victor H. Cruz

Victor serves as regulatory counsel to financial institutions and investors with respect to a range of consumer protection laws and regulations including the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the UDAP/UDAAP provisions of the FTC Act and the Dodd-Frank Act. Victor assists clients with consumer credit issues for a broad range of financial products including credit cards, mortgage loans, auto finance retail installment agreements, and other retail credit agreements.

While in-house at a large US bank, Victor counseled internal clients on legal issues across the business including credit/underwriting, call center/operations, product design, credit risk, and compliance.
