We recently hosted our 8th annual Women in Shared Services and Outsourcing Executive Roundtable in New York. More than 50 women from across the United States attended the May 8 event, representing a wide range of industries, including financial services, consumer products, energy, and life sciences.
Our keynote speaker was Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, a professor of business psychology, who led an interactive presentation on how economic and technological changes are reshaping the nature of work and how one’s future depends on being a signal in the noisy universe of human capital. We also featured interactive panels on “Sounding (and Managing) the Alarm on Cybersecurity” and “The New Adventures of Old Governance,” which prompted a lot of audience input and questions.
The highlight of the day was a lunchtime discussion of the approaches that companies have used to advance the recruitment, retention, engagement, and development of women in a panel titled “Women’s Initiatives: The Wave of the Future.”
