IRS Audit Focus on Executive Compensation

11 июня 2013 г.
01:00 Eastern Daylight Time

The IRS is stepping up its audits of executive compensation. Common foot faults in executive compensation practices can lead to significant tax issues and costly corrections.

Please join us for a one-hour webinar to discuss how to "self-audit" your executive compensation practices and avoid issues that often arise in IRS audits. Our discussion will focus particularly on withholding issues resulting from the 2013 tax increases, section 162(m) compliance, annual bonus plan deduction issues, airplane travel, and other fringe benefits.

Topics will include:

  • Tax withholding challenges for 2013 new Medicare taxes (0.9% and 3.8% taxes)
  • Compliance with section 162(m) requirements relating to setting performance goals, equity grants, and plan terms
  • Requirements for deduction of annual bonus payments in the year of accrual
  • Current tax issues and best practices with respect to executive air travel and other fringe benefits

When:
Tuesday, June 11, 2013
12-1 pm ET
