Quality of Care: False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement
The investigation of health industry compliance with high-quality standards is a significant government enforcement trend that crosses many different health industry sectors. Katie McDermott and Civil Chief for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia Margaret Hutchinson will explore investigation trends, legal theories, and case illustrations related to quality of care enforcement under the False Claims Act and its qui tam whistleblower provisions. Ms. McDermott, who is on the American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA’s) Program Planning Committee, will also participate in the AHLA Women’s Leadership Council breakfast session, “Useful Tips for Developing a Successful Speaking Event.”

Public Interest Session: Fraud and Abuse Risk and Population Health Management
