David Monteiro will speak during the Practising Law Institute (PLI) program, “Consumer Financial Services 101: Unfair, Deceptive (and Abusive) Acts and Practices - Getting Started with UDA(A)P.” This program will show attendees and financial institutions how to identify unfair, deceptive, (and abusive) acts and practices (UDA(A)Ps); how to identify and act on red flags; and cover today’s big issues, including whether discrimination is potentially unfair and whether algorithms are potentially deceptive.
