NEW YORK, July 22, 2015: Morgan Lewis represented BlackBerry Limited in its acquisition of California-based AtHoc, a provider of secure, networked crisis communications which helps organizations and people share information during business continuity and rescue efforts. The transaction was announced July 22, 2015 and is expected to be completed in BlackBerry’s 2016 fiscal third quarter, subject to customary closing conditions. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Morgan Lewis represented BlackBerry in two other recent acquisitions (WatchDox and Movirtu), and several others over the last three years.
The Morgan Lewis team advising on the transaction was led by partner David Pollak.
