Morgan Lewis International Trade Partner Testifies Before US Congress on CFIUS Reform

WASHINGTON, DC, April 13, 2018: Morgan Lewis litigation partner Giovanna M. Cinelli, leader of the firm’s international trade and national security practice, testified April 12 before the US House of Representatives Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade regarding potential reform of the US Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and pending legislation related to these reforms (HR 4311).

Ms. Cinelli, a former US naval special duty intelligence officer, testified in her personal capacity as a legal practitioner of more than 30 years who counsels clients in the defense and high-technology sectors on a broad range of issues affecting national security and export controls, including complex export compliance matters, audits, cross-border due diligence, and export enforcement, both classified and unclassified.
