Pro Bono Hero: How Morgan Lewis Partner Manning Helped Win Citizenship For Babies Of Same-Sex Couples, Reuters

Senior pro bono trial lawyer Susan Baker Manning was featured by Reuters as a Pro Bono Hero following the US Department of State’s policy reversal granting US citizenship to children born abroad to married same-sex couples. Last year, Susan and a Morgan Lewis team working with Lambda Legal and Immigration Equality won a pair of critical court rulings validating the US citizenship of two children born abroad to married same-sex couples. She said the work enabled the legal team to right “such a stark wrong.” Susan added, “It was a great experience to help these families.”
