NEW YORK, September 13, 2021: Since inception and once again, Diversity Lab has recognized Morgan Lewis with its Mansfield Rule Certification, which singles out law firms that have demonstrated a meaningful commitment to an inclusive workplace by boosting the representation of diverse lawyers in firm leadership positions. As one of the pioneer firms of the Mansfield Rule, Morgan Lewis was one of 30 leading law firms in the United States partnering with Diversity Lab to pilot the Mansfield Rule in 2017.
In addition to the 4.0 certification for 2021, this is the third consecutive year that Morgan Lewis has achieved “Plus” status, placing the firm among a select group that, in addition to meeting or exceeding the pipeline consideration requirements for certification, have successfully reached at least 30% diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of current leadership roles and committees.

The 4.0 version of the certification measured whether firms have affirmatively considered, at minimum, 30% women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions.
