Partner Matthew Howse spoke with International Employment Lawyer about a wide-ranging review and reform of existing anti-fraud legislation, part of which looks to incentivize whistleblowers.
“In highly regulated industries, incentivizing whistleblowers might cut across or misalign with a regulated entity’s regulatory obligations. Accordingly, it remains important that any scheme that rewards whistleblowers is devised to ensure that it dovetails with the existing whistleblower legislation and regulatory landscape.” Matthew said.
