DOL Provides Guidance on Mental Health Parity, but Gaps Remain, PLANADVISER
14 сентября 2026 г.Partner Sage Fattahian spoke with PLANADVISER about new US Department of Labor (DOL) guidance outlining enforcement priorities under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, including treatment limitations and exclusions, medical necessity and utilization-management practices, and network adequacy.
Sage said the guidance provides plan sponsors and third-party administrators with greater direction on what regulators will focus on when reviewing required comparative analyses. Sage notes that the guidance will “give plan sponsors and their third-party administrators more concrete guidance and focus on where EBSA is going with this enforcement initiative.”
Sage added that further focused guidance, including greater clarity on comparative analysis, would be helpful to plan sponsors.
