Kathryn Ball focuses her practice on business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations, and white collar criminal defense. Kate represents individuals and organizations across a wide range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, and retail. Her experience includes representing businesses and individuals before the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and other governmental and regulatory authorities in securities enforcement and white collar matters. Kate has particular experience representing broker-dealers and individuals in all phases of the FINRA arbitration process.
Kate maintains an active pro bono practice. She has appeared and argued in federal court, housing court and immigration court on behalf of individual pro bono clients in a variety of fields including immigration, housing and criminal defense. Kate serves as vice chair of the New York Office’s Pro Bono Committee and a member of the Pro Bono Associate Advisory Board of Legal Services NYC.
