12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET

The US Department of Homeland Security’s rule expanding employment authorization for foreign students with science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degrees takes effect on May 10.

The rule increases oversight of STEM optional practical training (OPT) extensions by placing new requirements on employers and allowing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to conduct employer site visits to ensure compliance with the new requirements. Join us for a one-hour webinar as we discuss key considerations for employers.

Covered questions will include:

  • What are the new rules?
  • Who is eligible for an OPT extension?
  • What are the new oversight and compliance requirements for employers?
  • How should employers prepare for potential ICE site visits?
