Emerging and Key Issues in Energy Storage Development: Changes to Organized Markets

2018年5月31日
01:00 下午 - 02:00 下午 Eastern Daylight Time

Please join us for a three-part webinar series addressing emerging and key issues in energy storage development. A recent landmark issuance by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) represents a historic change in the way wholesale markets will be administered and presents new opportunities for traditional utilities, storage developers, and investors. Storage resources continue to move to the forefront of utility planning, and industry participants must prepare for changes to the marketplace that are fast approaching.

Our three-part webinar series will cover a range of key energy storage issues, including FERC’s requirement that organized markets permit full and fair participation by storage resources, and the implications of that requirement; how organized market rules and regulations are expected to evolve in response to Order No. 841; and US state policies to encourage energy storage and commercial and financing considerations for storage resource development and procurement.

In Part 3, Changes to Organized Markets, we will address:

  • Overview of existing market rules applicable to storage resources
  • Proposals for storage participation models
  • Market design issues
