SFIG Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium

2018年10月29日 - 2018年10月30日

Morgan Lewis sponsored the annual SFIG Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium October 29-October 30 in New York, presented by the Structured Finance Industry Group (SFIG). More than 300 of the private-label mortgage market's most active investors, issuers, key regulators, and service providers attended, including representatives from firm clients FirstKey, Wells Fargo, SoFi, Citibank, Wilmington Trust, BlackRock, and 400 Capital Management, among others.

The program featured a combination of interactive discussions and educational presentations, exploring the intersection of private capital and government sponsored entities in the residential mortgage market. The symposium encompassed the entire spectrum of the mortgage finance market; credit risk transfer structures, private label securitizations, non-performing and re-performing loans, financing of mortgage servicing rights and updating work on RMBS 3.0 standardization and best practices. Participants and panelists explored private capital's role in intersecting asset classes - their short and long-term funding strategies, as well as examined their operational, legal and regulatory risks, and understanding how technology is reshaping the business landscape.
