In the last year, FERC received more than 140 electric sector merger and acquisition, reorganization, and control-change applications, and implemented a number of rulemaking proceedings that relieve some of the technical and regulatory burdens attaching to FERC-regulated transactions. FERC also announced several new rulemakings that will expand FERC corporate regulatory requirements.
