FT Hackathon Spurs Legal Innovations in Covid-19 Paperless Revolution, Financial Times

Morgan Lewis, led by partner Nancy Yamaguchi, participated in the Financial Times’ Global Legal Hackathon, which brought together more than 2,700 participants from nearly 70 countries to collaborate virtually on 184 projects. While the program was designed to tackle unique challenges caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Morgan Lewis and its team sought to improve upon how clients and their law firms communicate in general. The result was a blockchain-based communications portal that allows clients to communicate with their lawyers, see up-to-date matter information, and improve the overall efficiency of in-house and outside counsel collaboration, while ensuring data privacy and security.
