While some services were granted an extension through 2024, others are set to end without action from US Congress or federal agencies, Jacob said.
This includes the waiver of the Ryan Haight Act, the expiration of which has the potential to cause upheaval for telemental health providers, Jacob added—particularly those that began or grew after the public health emergency was declared.
