Managing the Global Workforce Webinar Series 2014 – International Assignments: Structuring and Managing for Business Success

June 26, 2014

This was the final installment of a series of internationally themed webinars that addressed the employment, labour, immigration, and benefits issues of key concern to employers managing a global workforce.

Employers must navigate a myriad of legal and practical barriers to manage international assignments, from employment law issues, to immigration and mobility challenges, to compensation and tax questions. Our panelists discussed common models for structuring international assignments and reviewed employment law considerations for employers — both home company and host company — in pursuing such employee deployments. We also covered employer best practices for selecting, compensating, and supporting employees for international assignments; effectively navigating immigration requirements; and anticipating and mitigating potential problem areas.
