Christopher A. Parlo is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Parlo represents and counsels management clients in a broad spectrum of industries and in all aspects of labor and employment law, including standard and complex litigation, employee benefits litigation, protection of trade secrets and unfair competition, labor and employment counseling, and in administrative proceedings at the local, state and federal level.
Mr. Parlo has worked extensively on and litigated nationwide class and collective action cases, employee discrimination cases, matters involving traditional and newly evolving employee claims against employers and their officers, cases involving restrictive covenants and protection of employer trade secrets and confidential information, wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract and employment-related torts.
Mr. Parlo has substantial experience providing counsel on and litigating employee pension and welfare benefits issues under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. His experience includes major class action cases in the non-bargaining and collective bargaining contexts, complex litigation in which employer plan design decisions have been challenged and breach of fiduciary duty claims have been asserted, and individual claims concerning a denial of benefits, breach of fiduciary duty and/or benefits discrimination.
Mr. Parlo won the M.H. Goldstein Memorial Prize for outstanding achievement in the area of labor law.
